Hand pulled prints are traditionally framed behind glass. These recent etching-based monoprints evolved into a 2D/sculpture hybrid format thanks to an experimental collaboration with metalsmith Aaron Kaemingk. The hand-cut aluminum supports follow the contours of the irregularly shaped prints, mounted onto a custom metal box that extends from the wall, satisfying a desire to bring works on paper into a closer intimacy with the viewer.
